The difference between SI and CI is given by a formula

Difference,
$= principal \times { \frac{r}{100} }^{2}$
On putting values,
$difference(d) = 2400 \times { \frac{5}{100} }^{2}$



so,
$d = 2400 \times \frac{25}{10000}$

$d = 24 \times \frac{25}{100}$
$d = 24 \times \frac{1}{4}$

d=6

so the difference b/w CI and SI is 6.
