difference between simple goitre and exophthalmic goiter ?

Simple goitre is caused by Hyposecretion of Thyroxine by the Thyroid gland. It causes swelling of the thyroid region of thr neck.

Exophthalmic goitre is caused by Hypersecretion of Thyroxine by the Thyroid gland. It causes protruding eyeballs.

Answer: Simple goitre is a disease caused by the deficiency of iodine, which results in the enlargement of thyroid glands. Thyroid glands produce thyroid hormone and for its production, they require iodine.

Exophthalmic goiter is called called Grave's disease and it is caused by hyper secretion of thyroid hormone ( hyperthyroidism). It results in the complete enlargement of the thyroid gland. It results in protrusion of eyeball from orbits.
