In modern-day gaming, simulation and role play are two very common terms. The differences between simulation role play are as follows -

  • The word "simulation" means machinery which enables us to experience some real-world experiences like car driving, swimming, racing, fighting, etc.
  • The word "role-playing" means that in a game one can control a virtual person and do realistic actions by controlling that person.
  • By simulation one can experience any type of virtual game and do many types of actions which sometimes can not be performed in real life. But role-playing is only controlling a human being and the actions done in role-playing are generally doable in real life.
  • Simulation is not only used for gaming and entertainment purposes but also used for modern technologies, education and training purposes. When some training actions or some science experiences are too dangerous to perform in the real world, simulation is used.
  • On the other hand, role-play is not very popular for education or training purposes. Sometimes to practice face-to-face interactions role-play is used, but generally, it is popular for gaming and entertainment purposes.
