◆ A chromosome has 2 strands attached to each other at the centromere.
◆ The 2 strands that are attached to each other at the centromere are called sister chromatids.
◆ Whereas, during meiosis when 2 chromosomes combine to form the chiasmata, those two chromatids are called non sister chromatids.
