Skin cells are the epidermal cells which cover all the organs of the body by forming a tissue called the skin. They offer protection to all the organs the of the body. They act as sensory receptors of touch. they transmit stimuli to the central nervous system. They have special pigments called as melanin pigments. Sparsed between the skin cells are sweat glands and the sebaceous glands, hair follicles etc. These are mostly cuboidal or columnar cells.
Muscle cells are also called as myocytes and almost they are in spindle shape. they are elastic and possess tensile strength. Muscle cells have many mitochondria which provide lot of energy during contraction and relaxation of the cells. Muscle cells form structures called as muscles. Muscles along with bones help in the movement of body structures.
