Small intestine has three parts, jejunum, duodenum and ileum. Large intestine has four parts, which are, rectum, colon, caecum and anal canal. Small intestine is capable to forms the layer of continuous bands of muscles around it. Large intestine is reduced to three types of muscles bands.The small intestine (small bowel) is about 20 feet long and about an inch in diameter.
