Heya.....✋

✨Difference between SN1 and SN2 reactions⤵

⏩The SN2 reactions occurs in one step,i.e., the nucleophile forms a bond to the substrate at the same time the leaving group leaves.
Whereas, the SN1 reactions proceeds stepwise. The leaving group first leaves, then a carbocation forms that is attacked by the nucleophile.

⏩The SN2 reactions proceeds through a backside attack, so if a stereocentre is present the SN2 reactions will give inversion of stereochemistry.
Whereas, the SN1 reactions lead to the formation of a stereocentre there will be a mixture of retention and inversion since the nucleophile can attack from either face of the flat carbocation.

Hope it helps✅
