• They have large quantities of soap which is required during washing.
• It has a higher concentration of minerals compared to soft water.
• Some examples of hard water are → Sea water, tap water, etc.

Soft Water

• They don't consist of any dissolved salts.
• They form lather with soap.
• Soap is not wasted.
• It has a lower concentration of minerals compared to hard water.
• Some examples of soft water are → Rainwater, distilled water, etc.
