Solid

The things that have their own fixed shape and size are called solid.

In solid the molecules are tightly packed.

Liquid

Things that do not have their own fixed shape and size and have to be kept in an open or a covered container are called liquid .

In liquid the molecules are not closely packed.

Gas

Things that have to be kept in a closed or a covered container are called gas.

In gas the molecules are free and can move anywhere without any circumstances.
