difference between solid liquid and gas​

Answer:

Solid is the state in which matter maintains a fixed volume and shape; liquid is the state in which matter adapts to the shape of its container but varies only slightly in volume; and gas is the state in which matter expands to occupy the volume and shape of its container.

Solid -

1) The intermolecular force of attraction is more .

2) It has its definite shape and volume.

Examples -

Ice cubes, a Stone etc...

Liquid -

1) The intermolecular force of attraction is less as compared to Solid.

2) It don't have it's definite shape and volume but take the shape of the container where they are kept in.

Examples -

Milk , Water etc.....

Gases -

1) The intermolecular force of attraction is absolutely absent as compared to Solid and Liquid.

2) They have no definite shape and volume.

Examples -

Oxygen , Hygrogen etc.....
