\green{\bigstar}\:\:{\underline{\boxed{\bf\red{Solid}}}}

solid has definite shape.

It has definite volume.

It expends very slightly on heating.

It is almost incompressible.

➝ Examples :- wood,iron,bricks etc.

\purple{\bigstar}\:\:{\underline{\boxed{\bf\orange{Liquid}}}}

Liquid has indefinite shape.

It has definite volume.

It's expension is moderate on heating.

It cannot be compressed.

Examples :- water,oil,milk etc.

\blue{\bigstar}\:\:{\underline{\boxed{\bf\purple{Gas}}}}

It has indefinite shape.

It has indefinite volume.

It expends rapidly on heating.

It is readily compressible.

Example :- CNG,helium etc.

[Note :- Heat energy is used up to overcome the force of attraction between two particles in matter so, temperature remains the same during the change of state of matter.]
