The difference between a solution and a suspension is in the particle sizes involved. A solution is a mixture of ions or molecules (very, very small). Solutions are transparent, meaning that you can see through them. A suspension has bigger particle sizes and so it may look cloudy or murky.

Difference between solution and suspension with examples.
Explanation:
a) A solution is a homogenous mixture of solute and solvent while suspension is a heterogenous mixture of solute and solvent.
b) Particles do not settle down in solution whereas it settle down in suspension.
c) Particles cannot be seen by low power microscope in solution whereas it can be seen by low power microscope in suspension.
d) Solution is transparent whereas suspension is non transparent.
e) In Solution components cannot be separated by Filtration whereas in Suspension it can be separated by Filtration.
f) The examples of solution are: Salt Solution, Sugar Solution and Acidic Solution e.t.c. The examples of suspension are: Slime, foam, smoke and emulsion.
