Sporogenous cells are those cells which are capable of undergoing meiotic divisions. These cells combine with each other to form a sporogenous tissue. Meristematic cells are known as undifferentiated cells they possess the ability to divide and are not differentiated to perform specific functions. They are present in all the parts of a plant where active cell division takes place. e.g. of meristematic cell are apical meristemetic tissue, lateral meristemetic tissue and intercalary meristemetic tissue.
