A star has its own light while a planet lights with the light of other stars.

A star is very large in size where as a planet is small.
Planets revolve around the other stars while stars doesn't revolve around any other object.

Stars are uncountable while there are only eight planet in our galaxy.

Stars have a very high temperature while planets don't have high temperature.

Stars are composed of gases while planets are made of gases.
