hey mate ur an

To maintain phase difference between two winding magnetic flux, the Starting winding is more resistive than running winding. Also starting winding have more number of turns and conductor size will be less and whereas running winding have less number of turns and size of conductor will be large compared to starting winding.

hope it helps

Answer:

Explanation:

Ceiling fan:

A ceiling fan is a fan that is positioned on the ceiling of a room or area and is typically powered by electricity. It circulates air using rotating blades that are mounted on a hub. They effectively cool individuals by accelerating airflow. Contrary to air conditioning equipment, fans do not lower the air's temperature or relative humidity; instead, they increase convection and help sweat evaporate to produce a cooling effect. A limited amount of heat from fans may be added to the space, mostly from the motor's waste heat but also from friction. Air conditioning consumes a lot more energy than fans since chilling air is thermodynamically expensive. A ceiling fan can also be used in the winter to direct warm air that rises naturally back down to inhabitants.

Difference between starting and running winding of ceiling fan:

  • The starting winding is more resistive than the running winding in order to preserve the phase difference between the two windings of magnetic flux.
  • Additionally, commencing winding has more turns and a smaller conductor size, whereas running winding has fewer turns and a larger conductor size compared to starting winding.
  • Between the run winding's poles is the start winding. Near the bottom of the core, the run winding is made with bigger wire. This increases its inductive reactance while decreasing resistance compared to the start winding. These two windings are connected to one another in parallel.
  • The resistance is greatest for the start winding and lowest for the run winding.
  • A single-phase induction motor's starting winding is located in the stator 90 degrees apart from the running winding. It will turn in the direction of the magnetic rotation produced by the capacitor, starting winding, or auxiliary winding.
