Stateless society was in existence around 3700 B.C, and that of state society existence is of 6000 years old.

Stateless society means group of people living in their tribe etc., they have not state with complicated rules and regulations enforced.

State society has large number of people for whom strict laws and guidelines have to be enforced.  Also, with regard to work allotment, in Stateless Society only one particular clan or group was specialised in one particular work.  There was no freedom of choice with regard to this in a Stateless Society.  This was removed in a State Society.

The main purpose for forming a State-Society was defense and agriculture.  Earlier Finance were brought in by the royal dynasties etc., and got back in the form of taxes obtained from the working community.  Even now, there are some places were State Society is not in existence.
