union list consist of 100 items given in seventh schedule of the Indian constitution. the matter included in the state list can be discussed by the union gov for parliament only. only the parliament has the exclusive power to legislate over these matters. state list consist of 61 items given in the seventh schedule of the Indian constitution. the matters included in the state list can only be discussed by the state government.
