difference between stock and potential resources

Potential resources are those materials in the environment which can satisfy human needs but we do not have the proper technology to access these are called stock resources.Potential resources are those which are found in a region but have not been utilized. For example: the resources like solar and wind energy found in Gujarat and Rajasthan are not being properly utilized.
