Difference between Sulphar, sulphate, sulphide and sulfide

Sulfide is S2-, sulfur has a net negative charge of 2. Sulfate is SO42-, it is an ion with a net negative charge of 2. Sulfite is SO32-, it is an ion with a net negative charge of 2. Sulphate is SO4 i.e one molecule of sulphate has 1 atom of Sulphur and 4 atoms of Oxygen.
