Delhi Sultanate was established by the Slaves of Muhammad Ghori . He handed over Delhi to his favourite Slave Qutb-Ud- Din Aibak who was a Turkish Mamluk.

Mughal Empire was established by Zahir-ud-din Muhammad Babur. Babur came from a royal lineage of Timur from his father’s side and his mother belonged to the Chagatai Khanate. Thus, he is a direct descendant of Timur and Chengiz Khan.

So, Delhi Sultanate was established by Slaves and Mughal rule was established by a Prince.

Delhi Sultanate had 5 Dynasties namely

Slave Dynasty (Turkic)

Khilji Dynasty (Turkic)

Tughlaq Dynasty (Turkic)

Sayyid Dynasty (Persian)

Mughals had no female ruler.

Delhi Sultanate had a female ruler named Razia Sultana.

Only people who follow Islam and had Turkic lineage were given high positions in Delhi Sultanate.

Even Non Muslims were given high positions during Mughal rule. For Ex Raja Todar Mal, Birbal etc.

The main enemies of Delhi Sultanate were the Mongols and Rajputs.

The main enemies of the Mughals were the Pashto Durrani empire, Jats, Ahirs, Rajputs, Sikhs and Marathas.

Jizya, a Tax was imposed by Delhi Sultanate on Non Muslims.
