Superscript is a symbol/letter/number which is usually placed above another leter/ number/ symbol
For eg: if I want to write 5 times 5 or 5 square, I could do it like this : 5²
where 2 is the superscript.
Sameway, 5₃, where 3 is the subscript, which is written down.
