Acids r sour in taste bases r bitter in taste. Acids have high H+ ion concentration bases have high OH -- concentration. Acids have ph less than 7 bases have ph more than 7 . Hcl is an example of acid NaOH is an example of base

Acids are formed when non-metallic oxides react with water......and bases are formed when metallic oxides react with water......acids are sour in taste where as bases are bitter in taste...acids turn blue litmus red whereas bases turn red litmus blue...mineral acids r highly corrosive in nature whereas caustic alkalis are highly corrosive in nature...acids burn the skin and eat away metals whereas they burn the skin and are soapy to touch....
