While coming to the question, at present we can notice same system which prevailed during british.

The concept of education during British rule took it’s initial steps with introduction ofCHARTER ACT OF 1813 through which budget of Rs.1,00,000 was alloted for promoting education in India. But, there was a dilemma that for what kind of education to be promoted either english education or orthodax education in vernacular languages. There was a huge space for debate between ANGLICITES and ORIENTALISTS, therefore the debate was ended with MACUALEY MINUTES which is a committee report which was appiontted by William Bentick which paved a path for promoting english education in India.

Eventhough maculey committee paved a path for establishment of english in India but, further development and progress was acheived by implementing the recommandations of various committee reports. MAGNACARTA OF INDIAN EDUCATION which is the report of wood’s committee or WOOD’S DESPATCH ,laid foundation for establishment of universities in madras, culcatta, bengal provinces. SADDLER COMMISSION which was appointed by then viceroy READING laid recommandations for establishing 3 year degree course which is still prevailing in India and also recommanded for establishing secondary educational board for 10th standard and board for intermediate education for conducting examinations for +1 and +2 standards which is also purely imbibedin Indian educational system. Similarly, Thomas Raleigh commission which is also known as Indian Universities commission which laid emphasis on establishing universities in India and also bought Indian Universities Act,1904. Which is still a authorised and governing constitutional wing which looks after universities in India.

By looking after all above statements we an come to an conclision that British education system is a brain child of british rulers in India for which some amendments were made and re-implemented in the country it is like old wine in a new bottle.

Answer:

\rightarrow Anicent education system was based on religious prospectives.

\rightarrow Whereas, the modern system of education is based on practical knowledge (sciences).

\rightarrow The ancient education system rarely focused on written work, but believed in cramming the topic so to last long in mind.

\rightarrow The modern education system focused on both oral and written work.

Explanation:

The anicent education system was based known as the indian system of education. It was based on astrology and basic knowledge. The sons of the kings and priest were only allowed to study. Girls were mainly forbidden to attain education.

The schooling were held outside rather than in a building and gurukuls were there where all the students are treated equally as tribals, and because of this, they had to cut woods from the forests and do such work for themselves.

The students were made to do cramming to learn what they are reading, rather than writing it.

This type of system was believed extremely strange and inferior by the Britishers, and hence, they changed the system of education.
