Iron gets more corroded than Aluminum.

Reasons are:- )

Iron easily reacts with the environment and forms the rust if for when we do not galvanized to the iron.

But coming to the Al when reacts with the Oxygen and it forms the Al2O3 and it acts the protective layer on the pavé of the Aluminum so that we cannot witnessed the much corrosion comparative to iron gets.

Iron has the more reactive ability than Aluminum.

Most of the aerospace purposes we widely used the Al alloys instead of the Iron alloys like Steels and Cast iron etc due to higher weight and more possibilities of getting corrosion of the materials.

aluminium reacts with oxygen and gets corroded and form layer over the matal preventing further crossion, while iron is corossion i.e. rusting take place and iron flakes get removed and layer of iron beneath The corroded laya gets exposed and results to further crossion
