The tilt of the earth axis determines the causes and it includes difference and it let temperature shows between the equators.

Equator Region:
- In this region,sun rays fall vertically. So the temperatures are very high.
- The forest in the equatorial region are called Equatorial Rainforest.
- In this region density of population is high,
- Though the temperatures are high, rainfall occurs frequently
- The region has a variety of arboreal fauna, like lizards, monkeys, bats, birds, squirrels, poisonous snakes, Insects etc.
- This region lies between 0 to 10° N and S latitude.
- Economic activities ike agriculture, cattle rearing, commerce, industries are found on a large scale.
Polar Region:
- In this region, the sun rays are always inclined. So the temperatures are very low and the region has cold weather.
- Due to the permafrost condition no trees are grown except creepers lichens, grass, shrubs etc., that too only in summer.
- Being a cold cap region, snow occur frequently.
- Due to the unbearable physical and climatic conditions, very limited number of people called Eskimos live in scattered settlements.
- The cold deserts are extended in this region.
- In this region very limited wild life is seen. eg. Caribou, seals, walrus polar bears etc.
- This region lies between 661 to 90° North Pole.
