soldiers recruited means enlist in armed forces and devided means soldiers devided for specific work. And yes recruit is simiral to division.

Explanation:

enlist in armed forces means when they are enrolled in arm forces and devided is they are given specific work to do ,they cant just do it alone so they are devided in groups to perform it.

They are not similar .
