Answer:

ELECTIONS IN THE PAST: PEOPLE CAN FORCE EACH OTHER TO VOTE A PARTICULAR PERSON AND THEY SAID THAT IF THEY DON'T VOTE TO THE PEOPLE WHOM THEY WANT TO BE THEIR LEADER THEN THEY WILL HURT YHEM SO PEOPLE CAME UNDER THE PRESSURE AND VOTE ACCORDING TO THEM.

ELECTIONS IN THE PRESENT: PEOPLE CAN VOTE ACCORDING TO THEM AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANY FORCE. NO ONE KNOWS WHOM A PERSON VOTES BECAUSE NOW PEOPLE COTE THROUGH SECRET BALLOT. THIS IS A VERY WONDERFUL METHOD OF VOTING IN ELECTIONS.
