Stroking Method
A method where an object can be temporarily magnetized by stroking it many times in one direction with one of the poles of a bar magnet.
Electrical Method
For magnetization, a direct current flowing into a solenoid (along insulated wire coiled into a cylinder) produces a magnetic field that, inside the coil, is uniform in strength and direction. The solenoid becomes a magnet.
