  • Clastic rocks are formed by mechanical weathering process. Chemical rocks are formed by precipitation of solution from dissolved materials. Organic rocks are formed due to the accumulation of debris associated with plant and animal matters.  
  • Sedimentary rocks give rise to various sources of natural gas, uranium and other coal.
