The starting word(preffix) & the ending word (suffix) gives clear indication regarding the prevailing differences among the 3 terms i.e geography, geology & Topography.

_graphy means to draw, record, write or represent in a specific way .In other words, 'to draw the land' .

_ology means 'to find knowledge of the land'.

-(preffix)topos means "place" .

Geography deals with the physical overall shapes of the land, mapping the extent of landforms, extent of rivers , height of mountain ranges, length of the coast line etc. Geography is also studied from perspective of people or culture .

Geology is a science that is interested in how the land got into the shape it did. Geology is about what the ground is made up of from a natural perspective. What kind of rocks it contains and how those rocks or layers of rocks got there.

Topography is the study of land surface shape, its hills, mountains, rivers, valley and cratons. It studies both the Geography and Geology of land features. The primary focus of topography is to find out the latitude, longitude, & elevation.
