TPDS - Targeted Public distribution system
was launched in 1997.
Under this ,TPDS introduced the principle of targeting the poor in all areas.
It was more target based, and aimed at adopting differential price policy for the poor.
RPDS-In 1992, Revamped Public Distribution System (RPDS) was launched.
Under this the target was to provide the benefits of PDS to remote and backward areas.
It aimed at universal delivery.
