Transfer Certificate is issued when a student passes out of high school or Higher Secondary School. Migration Certificate is given when a student wants to go abroad either for work or study (i.e., he/she wants to stay there for a couple of years to do a job or study).

Transfer certificate is a declaration issued to a student on his demand by the accountable for the foundation ie. College or School when the student needs to leave that institution. The transfer certificate has in it individual points of interest of the student specified in it and states the date of birth of the student according to the record of the said found, when and which course the student examined in the foundation, the last class passed or failed and additionally guarantees that the said student has paid every one of his contribution to the establishment and is not a defaulter.

Migration certificate is issued when a change of examination board or college is included. On account of CBSE board, a relocation endorsement is required when an adjustment in the territorial office of the CBSE is included because of progress in the state.
