my point of veiw star is the small network topololgy and tree topology use in big network, two and more then two star topology make a tree topology, all most every where use this type topologly.

Difference between Tree topology and star topology is given below

Explanation:

  • In the Star topology  all computers are linked with a node that is called hub  Explanation where as in the tree topology there is a root node and all the other nodes that are linked to that forms a tree hierarchy.
  • In the topology of stars only hub is a reason for failure. whereas in the tree topology each node has a reason for failure.
  • In the star topology the cost is expensive as compare to the tree topology.
  • We need more cables and wire to set up star topology there is no need for more cables to ring topology.
