Answer:

Hey mate

The triple point of the substance is the temperature at which all 3 phases(solid, liquid and gas) coexist in thermodynamic equilibrium. For water, its nearly equal to its melting point i.e 0°C.

The melting point of a substance is that temperature at which the solid changes state to liquid at atmospheric pressure

Hope it will be helpful to uhh

Thanks (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

The difference between triple point and freezing point is as follows:

  • The triple point is a temperature/ point of equilibrium where all the states of matter- solid, liquid, gas, co-exist.
  • The freezing point is a temperature at which solid co-exists with liquid.
  • The triple point of water is 0.01°C whereas the freezing point is 0°C.
  • The triple point also represents the pressure at which the states of matter are in equilibrium.
