Nastic movement
The movement of plants is neither towards nor away from the stimulus , it is called nastic movements.
They are the non directional movements
They dont depend on growth.
Example : Bending and drooping of 'touch-me-not' leaves on touching.
Tropic Movement
It is the movement of a plant in the direction of stimulus.
They are the directional movements .
They depend on growth .
they are of 4 types -
a. Phototropism
b. Geotropism
c. Chemotropism
d. Hydrotropism
Examples : Downward movement of roots in response to gravitational force.
