Tropical rain forest have following four categories- tropical wet evergreen (>250 cm) , tropical semi evergreen (200–250 cm), tropical moist deciduous (100–200 cm), littoral and swamp (100–300 cm).
TROPICAL EVERGREEN FOREST
Forests where evergreen variety of trees are found that too in tropical regions.
means evergreen variety can be found in dry region as well, where rainfall is not that much (<100 cm).For example, neem and toddy Palm which are evergreen trees, found in Tamil Nadu coast where rainfall is below 100cm
.
Tropical dry evergreen belongs to another category of vegetation, i.e 'Dry tropical forests'.
