Given info : the difference between two molar specific heat of gas is 8000 J/kg/K. and the ratio of two specific heat is 1.65.

To find : the two molar specific heat are ..

solution : let x and y are molar specific heat of two given gases.

the difference between molar specific heat = 8000 J/Kg/K

∴ x - y = 8000 ...(1)              [ let x > y ]

and the ratio of specific heat is 1.65

∴ x/y = 1.65

⇒ x = 1.65y ... (2)

putting equation (2) in equation (1) we get,

1.65y - y = 8000

⇒ 0.65y = 8000

⇒ y = 8000/0.65 = 12307.7

and x = 1.65y = 1.65 × 12307.7 = 20307.7

therefore the specific heat of gases are 20307.7 J/Kg/K and 12307.7 J/Kg/K.
