Yield strength: When you apply some stress on a material, first it expands elastically (it will regain its original dimensions if you remove the external force), and when after a certain stress level (Yield Strength) , material deforms plastically.

Ductility: Ability of material which allows them to deform plastically under tension (into wires)

Note that ductility is phenomenon for tensionforce and malleability is corresponding term for compression force
