The canal has two irrigation system such as Flow system (underflow) and lift system (underlift). Around 70% land of the command area is irrigated by flow system and rest 30% Land by lift system. All the lift channels of Indira Gandhi Canal system originate at the left Bank of main canal while the canals on the right Bank of main canal are Flow canals. 2. Stage 1- Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and northern parts of Bikaner and Jaiselmer district. Stage 2- Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Nagaur and Churu districts.
