Both the words mean the same. When all citizens of a country above the minimum age regardless of caste, sex, religion and gender are allowed to vote for their representatives, it is known as Universal Adult Franchise or Universal Adult Suffrage. It is one of the most important features of democracy.

the right to vote is given to all the adult and employed men and the women and unemployed men are excluded.

the right to vote is given to each and every adult person even rich or poor.
