:-):-)Both are pH indicators, however, universal indicator paper shows wether die material is acid or alkaline or neutral and gives you the exact ph-value (normally there is a scale to look at), whereas litmus paper is used to test materials solely for acidity...

Litmus paper can test only whether the given solution is acidic basic or neutral
Whereas the Universal solution helps in finding out how concentrated the acid or base it is and also the pH of the solution
