Urea is a breakdown product of proteins and/or amino acids. The Wikipedia article (linked to a few words back) has a nice picture of its structure.
Uric acid (pictured in its respective link) looks and acts nothing like it, owing to how it comes from something completely different: the breakdown of nucleotides like DNA or RNA.
Uric acid really is an acid. Urea looks like it should be basic but isn't (at least, not until it itself starts to break down).
