- It is the elimination of nitrogenous waste in form of uric acid.
- removal of 1 gm of uric acid requires 5 to 10 ml of water.
- Uric acid is least toxic.
- in liver of birds, ammonia is converted to uric acid by ionosinic pathway.

Ureotelism
