  • It is the elimination of nitrogenous waste in form of uric acid.
  • removal of 1 gm of uric acid requires 5 to 10 ml of water.
  • Uric acid is least toxic.
  • in liver of birds, ammonia is converted to uric acid by ionosinic pathway.
  • examples- birds, reptiles, insects, etc.

Ureotelism
