WWW is used to represent that the page you are requesting is the part of this world wide web. This WWW is really not necessary these days to open the webpage. You can just write yahoo.com and the page will open up.

And URL is the address of that page/site. Its not necessary that the web address like http://www.yahoo.com is the URL. URL means the resource locator.

The IP address and the web address both are thee part of the URL. If u put the IP address of the site in place of webaddress, the site will open. URL means the address of the place you want to visit. like
