Answer:

Vacuum tube: Contains a vacuum. Cathode emits electrons, Grid controls their flow, Anode collects the electrons that make it past the Grid. Transistor: Made of semiconductor solid-state material. ... Vacuum tube: Normally conducts maximum current, a negative voltage at the Grid reduces current flow.

Difference between a vacuum tube & semiconductor?

The difference between a vacuum tube and a semiconductor would be as follows.

A vacuum tube is alternatively known as an electron tube or valve. A vacuum tube is a single glass tube. The gas present in it is removed, due to which its inside becomes a vacuum, that is, nothing is present inside it. Due to this it becomes a vacuum tube. Electrodes are attached to control the flow of electrons in the vacuum tube. These were used in early computers as switches or amplifiers.

Semiconductors are a class of crystalline solids intermediate in electrical conductivity between conductor insulators, which are used in the manufacture of diodes, transistors and integrated circuits, and different types of electronic equipment.
