Spore formation differs from vegetative propagation. Spores are produced by specialized structures present in the plant which help in natural process of reproduction. Vegetative propagation is an artificial (man made) mode of reproduction where plant cuttings such as stem or root are used to generate new plant.

it is the method of reproduction in ferns and moses. each spore is covered by a hard protective Court to with stand unfavourable conditions such as high temperature and low humidity . under a favourable conditions spore germinated and develops into a new individual. the spores are produced in structures called sporangia.
