VPN and Proxy, these are used to connect to a remote system where one can access the host system from a remote location.

  •  However, VPNs are superior to proxy servers because a VPN can protect your privacy and security by routing your traffic through a secure VPN server and encrypting it.
  •  A proxy, on the other hand, simply routes your traffic through an intermediary server and does not provide any additional security.
  • A VPN creates the illusion of a Secret network over a public network.  It establishes a secure connection between end users.
  • On the different hand, a proxy server acts as a gateway, making it perfect for simple tasks like anonymous online browsing.
  • VPN connections are stable and reliable, while proxy server connections are vulnerable to failure.
