difference between voltmeter and ammeter

The Major difference between them is that Voltmeter :- It is connected in parallel to the circuit and is used to measure potential difference(volt). Ammeter:- It is connected in series to the circuit and is used to measure the current (I) in the circuit.

voltmeter is connected in parallel and also it is used to measure potential difference whereas ammeter is connected in series and measures current.
