1. The quantity of matter contained in a body is called the mass of body.

2. SI unit of mass is kilogram(kg).

3. Mass of the body remains constant.

4. Mass of body never be zero.

5. It  is scalar quantity.

6. Ex: The same apple will weigh 0.81 Newtons on Moon but it will be still half a kg in Mass.

Weight:

1. Force which Earth attracts a body towards its centre is called wight of the body.

2. SI unit of weight is Newton(N).

3. Weight of a body changes from place to place.

4. Weight of a body changes from place to place.

5. It is vector quantity.

6. Ex: One's weight on the Moon is 1/6 of one's weight on Earth.
