The following are the differences in points -

1. The quantity of matter that is present in any body is termed as mass whereas the force that is exerted by any object or body in the presence of gravity is called the weight.

2. Mass of an object is constant and does not change in any conditions whereas in case of weight, it is not constant and it can change when there is any change in location as well as position of any matter.

Answer:

mass and weight are considered to be interrelated, but it may or may not be true. it all depends upon the condition.

mass is actually the intrinsic property of the matter given by nature to it , because every thing carries mass and occupies space. mass is a scalar quantity means that it also has magnitude not direction and usually measured be beam balance.and it has a unit of kg.

on the other hand, weight is the force of earth being applied on the earth.formula for weight is

weight=mg

it means it not only depends upon mass but also on value of gravitational acceleration.

a body will have same mass m on earth and moon while it will not have same weight on earth and moon.
